3. Purpose of processing personal data
Making tenant selection decisions and maintaining resident administration
4. Data content of the register
- Name of applicant/resident
- Personal identity number
- Address, email address, and phone number at the time of application
- Study information (educational institution, study programme, and duration of studies) or status/occupation of youth resident or other resident
- Income and asset information at the time of application
- Corresponding information of a cohabiting spouse
- Names and personal identity numbers of children
- Address, type, size of the rented apartment, and amount of rent and other possible housing costs
5. Regular data sources
The data is collected from applicants themselves via housing application forms.
6. Regular disclosure of data
1. To the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (KELA) for the payment of housing supplement for student financial aid. KELA requires, in addition to name and housing details, the personal identity number.
2.To the City of Seinäjoki housing authority for monitoring tenant selection. Name and grounds for obtaining housing are disclosed.
7. Principles of register protection
Manual data in the register includes written housing applications and rental agreements, which are stored in locked archive cabinets or facilities.
Only designated persons have access to the electronic register using personal user IDs and passwords.
