Sevas Kodit is responsible for arranging and covering the costs of pest control
Pest control will be carried out by a professional pest control company, which will provide you with instructions. These instructions must be followed carefully.
Successful pest control requires active cooperation from the resident.
The resident must:
- Prepare the apartment according to the pest control instructions.
- Allow access to the apartment at the agreed time.
- Follow all further instructions provided by the pest control company.
Compensation for Personal Belongings
Sevas Kodit does not compensate residents for damage to personal belongings, such as furniture, clothing, household textiles or other personal property, if bedbugs or other pests are found in the apartment.
Residents are advised to check whether their home insurance covers any potential damage.
Resident’s Liability for Additional Costs
If a resident neglects their responsibilities related to pest control or fails to follow the instructions despite being reminded, and this causes the treatment to fail, be delayed or need to be repeated, the resident may be held responsible for the additional pest control costs incurred.
Failure to follow the instructions may also result in the termination of the tenancy agreement.
Working Together to Resolve the Problem
Pest problems can be managed most effectively when sightings are reported immediately and all instructions are followed carefully. This helps prevent pests from spreading and ensures a healthy living environment for all residents.
